- Contributions: Under the leadership of Mr. Devabrat Mahanta, the department saw significant developments. During his tenure, the department received permission from Dibrugarh University to start offering English as a major subject in 2005-2006, marking a significant milestone. His long tenure brought stability, allowing for the implementation of various academic programs and activities that enhanced the learning environment for students.An artist of International repute, Mr.Mahanta has brought accolades and is a pride of the Department.
2021 - 2024: Mrs. Musfica Begum

- Contributions: Mrs. Musfica Begum took over the reins in 2021. During her leadership, the department focused on modernising the curriculum and expanding extracurricular activities. Her tenure was marked by a renewed emphasis on cultural and educational events that engaged both students and faculty.Add-on Course on Essentials of English Composition and Communication was introduced in the year 2023 by her active leadership.
