Mission:
Moran Mahila Mahavidyalaya was established in 1992 with the mission to advance women's education, particularly among socially marginalised communities in the Moran region of Upper Assam. The college aims to provide quality education to young women from nearby rural areas, tea gardens, and every nook and corner of the region, irrespective of social class and economic condition. By offering a supportive and inclusive educational environment, the institution strives to nurture intellectual curiosity, critical thinking, and a lifelong love of learning. The mission also includes promoting cultural heritage and values, fostering a spirit of community service, and preparing students to meet the challenges of a globalised world.
Vision:
The vision of Moran Mahila Mahavidyalaya is to upgrade and strengthen women's education among the backward and rural population of the neighbouring villages, tea gardens, and every corner of the region. The institution strives to promote female education, inculcate high values through liberal education, and develop responsible citizens with a broad outlook on life and a deep sense of social responsibility. The college envisions a future where its graduates are not only well-educated but also equipped with the skills and confidence to contribute positively to society and the global community. It aims to create a vibrant academic environment that encourages innovation, ethical behaviour, and leadership qualities. The ultimate goal is to transform young women from all areas, regardless of their social class or economic condition, into empowered individuals who can make significant contributions to their families, communities, and the nation.
